   ओबामा प्रशासन एक महत्वाकाँक्षी और नाजुक नीति के लिये प्रयास कर रहा है कि एक ओर तो अच्छे विद्रोहियों को गोपनीय रूप से घातक हथियार और 114 मिलियन अमेरिकी डालर की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाये और साथ ही बुरे विद्रोहियों के विरुद्ध ड्रोन से सम्भावित आक्रमण की सम्भावना पर भी विचार किया जाये। विचार तो श्रेष्ठ है परंतु दूर से विद्रोही सेना पर नियंत्रण स्थापित कर पाने में सफलता प्राप्त होने की सम्भावना कम है। अवश्यंभावी है कि आर्थिक सहायता इस्लामवादियों को जाये और हवाई आक्रमण में सहयोगी मारे जायें। बेहतर हो कि अपनी सीमाओं को समझा जाये और व्यावहारिक स्वरूप ग्रहण किया जाये और कमजोर पक्ष का साथ दिया जाये।
